…and Closer to Home

Grey Lynn School students have painted their
bus stop

Autumn in Grey Lynn is especially beautiful this year. A long period of fine weather, few windy days and even fewer rainy ones has encouraged a performance of leafy splendour in the streets- the avenues of plane trees, the tuliptrees and liquidambar, especially, have been flaunting their greengold, yellow and crimson leaves, leafprinting the footpaths, and are now leafpiling the verges and lawns with rich dapplecolour heaps.

It’s showery weather now, so rainbows most days too..

The plane trees are lifting gigantic arms towards the paler sun.
